Welcome! If you’re returning to Alpharetta High, welcome back! If you’re new to the school, welcome to a new chapter, full of opportunities and experiences to remember for a lifetime! In the few short years that AHS has been in existence, the school has come a long way, garnered numerous awards and accolades and has experienced many changes. However, your PTSA continues to be committed to enhancing the educational environment by providing our resources to students, their families and the staff.
Our PTSA predecessors have forged the paths to prioritization of concepts including Unity, parent involvement, and communication. We will continue to support those ideas as well as focus on input and involvement from our students. This is, after all, their high school and we want to ensure that their voice is heard. This year, we will encourage participation from all students so that they can learn from seasoned veterans who volunteer on a regular basis. This will further equip them with organizational and leadership skills that can be used for a lifetime. We hope that their involvement will build ownership into the school and contribute to the pride that every student should have at AHS.
We need you as our partners. If you haven’t already, please join with us by becoming members of the PTSA. We value your commitment to your children and your support of the school. We ask that you encourage your student to be informed about what the PTSA is doing. Encourage your student to subscribe to enn and join with us in our planning efforts. We plan to be very visible to the students this year! And as always, we value the talents you possess. We hope that you’ll consider using them to help us in our efforts to make AHS the best school in the country.
We look forward to hearing from you and working with you.
Warmly,
Your PTSA Co-Presidents
Karen Dixon
Liz Woodring

PTSA Volunteer Opportunities:
There are a few areas that are highly in need of volunteers:

- College and Career Cove Volunteers
Many other opportunities are available and we welcome all volunteers! See the “How You Can Get Involved” tab at the top of the page.
Volunteer Policy Changes:
Fulton County has made some adjustments regarding the safety of our children during and after school. They require that the PTSA has a completed volunteer registration form on file for every volunteer. Once the administration sets the procedure for verification of forms, the PTSA will pass it along to you. For further information, please read the Volunteer Q&A.
Going forward, this form will be included with the student handbook and distributed to each student by FCSS.
Thanks so much for your commitment to AHS! Let us know if you have any questions regarding the new policy
